Aldous Huxley

Biography

Aldous Leonard Huxley (1894–1963) was an English writer and philosopher, best known for Brave New World (1932). Born into one of England’s most distinguished intellectual families, Huxley wrote nearly 50 books including novels, essays, poetry, and screenplays. His early novels satirized the English intellectual class; his later work explored mysticism, psychedelics, and human potential. Huxley emigrated to California in 1937, where he became interested in Vedanta, meditation, and expanded consciousness.
