Biography
Frank Belknap Long (1901–1994) was an American writer of horror, fantasy, and science fiction who was one of the earliest and closest associates of H.P. Lovecraft. Long contributed to the Cthulhu Mythos and published extensively in Weird Tales, Astounding Stories, and other pulp magazines over a career spanning seven decades. His most famous story, "The Hounds of Tindalos" (1929), introduced the idea of creatures that exist in the "angles" of time and space. Long was named a Grand Master by the World Fantasy Convention in 1978. His work bridges Lovecraftian horror and wider weird fiction traditions.
