Geoffrey Dennis
Biography
Geoffrey Pomeroy Dennis (1892–1963) was an English novelist who won the Hawthornden Prize for his novel Mary Lee (1922). Dennis wrote literary fiction exploring English middle-class life with psychological subtlety. The End of the World (1930) is an apocalyptic novel that imagines the final days of civilization. Dennis was a respected literary figure in interwar Britain though his work has since fallen into relative obscurity.
